Kite Boat development

I've been playing around with kites on boats for a while...arguably way too long.  But it's a lot of fun.  Kites on boats make a lot of sense - but have their challenges.  I'm a long way from the first person to have tried it!  Peter Lynn did a lot of development and has documented many useful thoughtsDon Montague has created some awesome flying machines. The main advantages of kites are lower cost (than masts with sails), lower heeling moments (possibly zero), higher speeds (possibly)....but kite handling has its challenges.  On the other hand, problems are there to be solved!  I've collected here some emails and notes I've generated along the journey.  There's material about heeling moments, automated control systems, crying when things break or don't work, bridled single skin kites, launch/retrieval systems, proas (one of my projects is a harryproa), foiling (my other main platform is a foiling nacra 5.8) and plenty more.  Rather than organise it in some logical format, I've included a search function to allow you, if you're interested, to find whatever you are looking for - modern search logic is so much more efficient than me getting organised!
